Why Not Something Like This?

Something like this would probably do VERY well.

Okay, it was an april fools joke.  But why can’t something like this be created for mobile devices?

The online game “MMO Asteroids” released yesterday, and it was meant to appear to be a massive multiplayer asteroids style shooter.

Only it wasn’t.  Instead it was a clever april fools joke because not long after the game starts, every other “player” on the board stops and focuses only on you.

However, why not create an ACTUAL game like this?

Why not create a shoot-em-up space game where people from anywhere in the world can compete against each other?

Now throw in some good graphics …

And bingo you have a great game that can spread like wildfire.

This is what I was talking about with my previous post on “How To Have An Endless Stream Of App Ideas“.  Look around and you can find app ideas everywhere.  The only actual reason I can think of why someone can’t be a success with their own mobile app business is giving up and not continuing to create apps.

And like I said in that previous post, when you also include the things that I talk about in the App Developers Toolbox, I seriously can’t understand how anyone can’t be a huge success.

How To Have An Endless Number Of App Ideas

Use These Simple Secrets Have An Endless Stream Of App Ideas

One of the best ways to come up with new app ideas is to simply look at what’s already doing well in the app store and create a similar app … but better.  As an example, the graphic for this post comes from Jump Pack.  It’s a game very similar to Doodle Jump, but with better graphics and more to the game play.

Now just because you do that once, doesn’t mean you can’t do that again.  As an example, Secret Headquarters, the makers of Jump Pack also have a game called “Monster Magic” which is also a Doodle Jump style game but with different graphics and more to the game play.

In other words, when you have one game created, it becomes VERY inexpensive to create another game like it only changing the graphics around a little bit and modifying a few elements of the game play.  Where you first game might cost you $2,000, the second game built from the first could be done for only $200 or even less.

Now personally, I think Trey Smith (the guy behind the apps at Secret Headquarters) made a huge mistake … and pay attention because this is important … it would have been far better to have created Monster Magic first then Jump Pack.

Monster magic is a “doodle” looking app that probably could have been created quicker and with less cost than Jump Pack.

What I’m saying is that you can come up with multiple different ideas built off the same basic game play.  Create the easiest one first.  From there it’s pretty inexpensive to create the others.

New app ideas are all over the place … they fill up the app store.  If you want to truly turbo charge your app success, include the other things in your apps that I’ve talked about in previous posts, and especially the things I talk in the App Developers Toolbox.  Using those ideas you can create apps that are similar to what’s already in the app store … but are vastly better and therefore can gain notoriety.

When you then use the things I talk about to make money with your apps, you can have money rolling in with very little effort, and that’s the real reason for getting involved with this app thing in the first place.
